FRIDAY AT THE MID-SOUTH LIVE STEAMERS

Our 2001 visit to the Spring Meet of the Mid-South Live Steamers was such a success, we decided to again travel to Columbia, Tennessee for the 2002 edition of the MSLS get-together. We expected Friday would be a busy but enjoyable day and night of running. To be followed by a Saturday of hectic-crowded-exciting live steaming. Earlier in the week, both days' weather forcast was for perfect running weather, but a Texas-sized storm system had other ideas. Our Friday arrival was to overcast skies. Drops of mist soon hearlded heavier percipitation to come. Those who ran early were lucky, as a steady downpour started about noontime. We did get in a few pictures, though, before the rains came
