Breed History
for the
American Dutch Rabbit
The Dutch rabbit is said to have originated in Holland.  It was brought to England in 1864 and developed into the breed you see today.  It is one of the oldest breeds known and the first spotted rabbits were recorded in the 15th century.  Today the Dutch is one of the most popular breeds in America.
