| Here Mac's 1350, bred by Wayne Mackinon, shows off her very good body type. A dutch should be short and cobby with a smooth curve starting at the neck, going over the back and down the rump. The head should be full and rounded, not pear shaped. Ears should be well proportioned to the head and body. They should stand erect and be well furred and rounded at the tips. Eyes should be bright, clear, and bold. They should have no spots in the iris or discoloration. They must be of the color required to match the body color. Legs and feet should be straight, proportioned to the body, and medium-fine in bone. Hind feet when viewed from underneath should be as straight as possible. All nails must be white for showing. Fur should be of the flyback type, meaning that when stroked the wrong way it quickly returns to lying smooth against the body. The guard hairs should cause a slight resistance to your hand as you stroke fur the wrong way. The undercoat should be fine and dense. Guard hairs should be interspersed throughout. The coat should carry a high luster. The coat length should be medium short and enhance the markings. |
