| Hmmm, more Bulk Mail? | ||||
| I think there's a conspiracy going on around the internet that has to do with so called bulk mail and junk mail. Here's my reason. You know how you keep getting all this crap from some online mortgaging company, and then you finally decide to unsubscribe (even though you can't recall ever subscribing in the first place) and then they say "thank you for subscribing" ? and then you start getting more and more and more junk mail? HOW THE HECK DID ALL THIS HAPPEN? This is my theory. You go to one of those sites, I don't know, any one, maybe some humour site, and they tell you HAHA SEND THIS FUNNY PICTURE TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS! and so you do out of pity for the low budget independandt site right? And then they tell you to put down your email address as well. Why is this so? You don't want it. You want your friends to get the picture. So why do they ask for your email addy? SPAM BABY! It's so they can send you junk and crap. And they send it to the friends you sent the "funny picture" too as well. And so all then, all the online companies that sponsered the site begin sending you ads as well which goes straight into your junk mail folder. And then you decide to unsubcribe from those as well. And then THEIR sponsers start sending you crap as well, and then once you unsubscribe from them then THEIR sponers send you crap and the vicious cycle continues. You must be thinking, yeah right, what a loser. Then answer me this. Why the hell would the say, "Thank You for unsubscribing (to our pathetic little mailing list)"? If you unsubscribed it means that their stuff is worth nothing to you right? It's an insult to them! THEY KNOW THAT! WE KNOW THAT! HECK WHY ELSE WOULD WE UNSUBSCRIBE?!? But the real question is, why are they THANKFUL that we did? AHA!! Back to Natalie's theory. It's because it means that THEIR sponsers can send you crap, and then THEIR sponsers can send you crap, and soon before you know it you'll have to take up a new addy to hide from the terrible bulk mail. It's another on of them Internet Conspiracies you know. | ||||
