| Today in Biology, Jonis brought in live crab and some (dead) shrimp and prawns to cook for our class because we just finished a unit on Crustaceans (which, of course, involves crabs and shrimps and stuff like that). So we spent the whole class preparing it. And it was so funny. The shrimps still had their heads on and we had to pull the heads off while Jonis prepared everything. And so I'm standing there amongst other people, pulling off the heads of these shrimps( and I'm kinda used to it seeing that I'm part portuguese) and these people were like ew gross omg I can't do this and I was like it's easy, you rip off the head like this! and they were like can you do it for me? so I'm standing there holding 3 shrimp bodies and pulling off the heads of 5 more. and then we found out that the staff room in our school doesn't have an oven, which we had planned to use to bake half the shrimp. so we had this big conflict and then had to use the foods room's oven. and then another teacher came in, and took this butchers knife and chopped the 2 crabs in half. and of course we alll screamed in terror. those poor crabs. what we didn't make in sympathy we made up for in eating their delicious bodies. that didn't sound to good but whateva. haha so the water wasn't boiling yet and class was almost over and it was going to take another 15 minuntes which by then it would be 5 minutes into lunch. so then those who wanted to stay and eat the crab stayed, and those who wanted to leave for lunch left. and then there was only like 7 people left and we were like YAY more crab for us! and then we like got a whole crab split between Sean, janice and me. and we were like oooooooooh crab not kosher but so good and yum. and haha I luagh because everyone had to use the knife to break it open and I was pressing down on it and cracking it open with out utensils and came up with the genius brilliancy of an idea to use the claws to scoop out the meat inside. and we were all pigging out on crab and shrimp and it was so good. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
