Vice-Admiral Nishio Tsukahara
Vice-Admiral Nishio Tsukahara was a commander of 11th Air Fleet (Headquarters on Formosa as of 7 December 1941), which comprised most of the IJN's landbased air units: 21st, 22nd, 23rd Air Flotillas.
He was relieved of command in September or October 1942 due to illness
as commander of 3rd Fleet.
Note It is hard to determine the correct first name of Vice-Admiral Tsukahara. It can be Nishio, Nishizo or even Fushizo. I have decided to use Nishio, but this naturally doesn't mean that I have chosen the correct name.
