The race was great! We had fun participants and fantasic volunteers!
See the menu for the results page and photos and note how well the 40+ crowd performed! More photos will be added as I receive them. If you have any photos that you'd like to add, please email them. Click here to email photos

I am sure we will miss some people, but we want to thank all of our volunteers. If you enjoyed the race, please remember that it would not have happened without them and consider volunteering at a race.
  • The Niceville fire department who stayed there all day.
  • Jackson Guard for letting us use their trails.
  • The Niceville National Exchange Club for all the help in the transition area.
  • Fred Gannon for the use of the park and the kayaks and all the help.
  • The Emerald Coast Cyclists for helping with the bike couse, the trek and the timing!
  • The Y volunteers for help with the course, timing, kayaks and pizza!
  • The Pizza Hut people for coming in early, so we had pizza ready at the finish line.
  • Bob's Bikes, Robins Bikes and Dragon Sports for the raffle prizes
  • Rich Knight and Power Bar.
Race Information:
The Niceville YMCA Adventure Race is back at Fred Gannon State Park. We have added a paddle in scenic Rocky Bayou for this race. The distance was increased as per feedback from last year. We have great single track and jeep trail for riding, and jeep trail for the trek. The race will not include orienteering this year. You must supply your own boat for the race. Teams may use 2 kayaks, a canoe or a tandem kayak. Boats must be propelled by paddle, no pedal kayaks. If you do not have a boat and would like to rent one, please contact the race director. We have some single kayaks, tandem kayaks and canoes available for a very low rate.

The race will consist of the following:
  • 3 miles paddling in Rocky Bayou
  • 4 miles Trekking (no orienteering)
  • 10 miles off road riding on nice single track, clay road and jeep trail.
You may enter as an individual or a 2 person coed, female or male team.
This is not a relay. Both team members will complete the entire race.
