I have driven and rode the same road to work for a year and longer to do food shopping and funny thing is I saw the scenery and homes but never really looked. (I know Mom takes me to the lake at the super market sometimes, and I get to watch the ducks and geese on the lake and then we have a hamburger at McD's. Now that I like!)

     I don't remember when it was I really started looking but all of a sudden I saw how many people had their lights on at 5:30AM and how many were actually going out in their vehicles! Here I thought it was only me, well then I was really looking!

     All of a sudden going to work one afternoon I saw the trees and shrubs "greening". It was a nice sight to see after the winter's sleep they were in.

     We had a warm spell and coming home from work one afternoon I noticed people sitting outside on the lawn chairs. A few days later I noticed lawn furniture and swings being brought out. Saw a few people cleaning up the winter's debris and it looked good.

     As the weeks went by Lady Spring started putting on her show and a magnificent one it was. Soon I saw bulbs peeking through in my own front yard and lawns covered with crocus. Now why didn't I notice before? All of a sudden all the bulbs were in bloom or bud and the flowering trees were gorgeous. Weeping cherry, cherry, pear, dogwood both pink and white and the lilacs carried a sweet perfume through the air. Well it was just breath taking looking down the streets and really seeing Lady Spring at work to provide us with beauty after a bleak winter.

     I noticed so many people in the garden center and when I came to work the next day so many were planting or hanging flowers out. It was looking like Spring was springing!

     As I listened to the weather at 11:00PM while I was having a snack and coffee after work I heard a "possible frost in the following areas" OOPS guess April isn't over yet and a lot of things shouldn't be planted until after Mother's Day, but who cares . People were yearning for the warmth of the sun and the beauty of flowers!

     The next time you go out take time to do more than look , even if you have to pull over in your car and gaze at the wonders of Lady Spring.
