I am sick of the cold, and tired of the snow and today I feel very old!
So What do I do about this situation? Well when life hands you lemons, make Lemonade!
Lemonade I did make. First things that were a winter decoration - WENT!
Lilacs replace the evergreens and berries in the pewter pineapple pitcher.
Next?
No one volunteered so I went to the doors�.
off came the berry wreathes! Checked the bathrooms and whatever reminded me of winter going, going, gone!
HA!.. As I walked through the living room with my boxed up winter, there sitting on the coffee table.. Right, more winter greens, a branch or tallo berries! Out went the vase and greens.
Good, most of inside winter was gone!
Into the storage closet I went, brought out the silk orchids and my Boehm vase for the living room, now that looked very nice (until I spotted the snow flakes hanging in the picture window, out they came.)
Now for the pewter pitcher. A nice bouquet of assorted colors of Lilacs. A nice candle in a fancy depression glass dish with a candle ring for the dining table� nice.
Well, what next? The bathrooms, ah yes. Off with the shower curtain and window curtain and on with the summery ones along with patchwork apples for the valance. Now it was looking more comfy in here.
Hmmm, fireplace.. Right the brass pitcher of mothers filled with silk hydrangea and Queen Ann�s Lace. Ok looking good!
Well that�s all I could do for now so into the computer room I come and sighed, my computer was being repaired! Well that wall paper sure looks awful! Down it came and up went a nice blue and white check on one wall (the other 3 walls are painted and stenciled). For one week I worked in this room.
Then I decided to go through all the family photos and all of a sudden piles formed! All the boys and and grands had piles! Ok home with them they go!
Frames ..I needed frames, I could pick my favorite photos and hang them. Alright! Brilliant idea. I began.. and soon it was done. A frame full of photos of our favorite restaurants in the poconos, photos of the Delaware Water Gap, another one with Easter at the trailer, another with baby pic�s with Rich and I holding the boys.
It went on till I got a wall full. They will stay up for awhile then I shall re-arrange. Of course the room is so much in order .. I can�t find a thing!
On my computer desk sits a flower pot full of silk Iris. Some Spring in here.
Well all that done, what is next?
Ah ha.. the kitchen windows could be washed along with the wood work and summer curtains hung. Well what a transformation I must say and a hint of spring is here.. but don�t step outside.. it is now 35 degrees.
Keeping busy is a cure you see, for whether mental or physical it may be, it helps the mind and body too and sleep will come as the moon rises, and for this I get no prize?
