Computer wants the same person you do? To stop this from happening keep moving the cursor around the player screen repeatedly until it picks someone else... It's something new I figured out so now you can try biff!! :D
You can play 2player mode in the stadium
You can't pick any of the amazons
Pitcher tires- after a while your pitcher will tire and throw straight.. so does the computer pitcher.. so when they do they line up and throw.. pressing pause repedetely moves the computer in different spots so they will now throw straight off the plate. Walk as many runners till they replace the pitcher (usually they do it after 4 runs per pitcher i think). Easy runs and it works on any player and any team.
Stealing home plate- How is it possible? Its done by having josh on 3rd and running home when you attempt to steal a base (advance to base while pitch is thrown). Josh will run right by the catcher no matter who it is and you got an extra run. I think you can only do this once per team/field but i havn't really kept trying.
Fast ball/curve ball- some players won't swing at fast balls and some won't swing at curve balls.. this makes for easy strike outs.
Hitting fast/curve balls- some players hit the ball better againt these pitches.. I havn't gone through all the players to figure this out.
Some players have special skills at night such as power batting or the ability to fly... they also have this ability on certain fields such as the professional stadium or a field they can manouver over things quicker then others.
Softball has the 3 strike rule even if there is a foul so watch out and the ability to have 2 extra fielders and no releif players. Fastball pitchers turn wimpy here!
Bunting with 2 strikes and the bunt goes foul makes you OUT!
Fastest pitchers- Id say these ones throw bullets- rocky, johnny, mikey
Curve pitchers- The ones listed as tricky pitchers in the manual ie: josh...
Don't throw there!- If you're behind a rock don't throw the ball... It won't go through a tree, rock, table, car, post... it will hit it then bounce off it
Cliff- If you hit the ball under the fence its a ground rule double!.. ive never had once bounce over a fence or wall so don't know if it applies.
Pop fly no out- if a player catches a foul ball on the island field they are not out.. it's a foul
Home run out- if the ball breaks a window on the school field your out
Ground rule- ball goes under the fence on the cliff its a double
Players advance- if the ball rolls over the home run line then they can advance.. no your controller is not broken!
Homeruns- Hitting a home run means the ball landing over the home run line or going over the wall..
Infield homeruns- this is done by running through all the bases then home plate in one batting while the opponent runs to the ball before tagging you out
Obsticles- some players can not run through these or move slow!: pebbles, blades of grass, water
read the player faq for which ones to what...
Flying- the ability to fly over obsticles: casey, clark, dizzy, bela (at night)
Jumping/diving 2x- some players can do this: glenn, sid, joey
Climb fences- sparky, stan
Switch hit- theres players who can do this by pausing and holding left or right then unpausing to move to opposite side of base- woody, arty, gene, mudcat, josh, petter, ronnie
tackle- most of the big slow runners tackle when being picked off and avoid the tag -
fuji, rip, gene, biff, harry, johnny, diablo, bruno, big al, claude, rock, borris, mike.

Players with white pale faces on the field have power bats during dusk or nightfall... check the scoreboard after each inning to see if the sky is brown or black and if bela is on your team and can fly then your other players who are just as white as him can hit homeruns more easily.
Throw around rocks?? Just throw to another base rather then directly towards the rock
Catch a base stealer?? Have a catcher with a rocket arm to throw to the bases like mikey, jose, or johnny.
