First off there is no softball/fastball game mode in this game what so ever
The pitching is molded into one so pressing b and holding up is an underhand lob
Holding b and down is a change up pitch which is a slowball and goes fast (breaking ball?)
Holding a and up is a straight slowball or even a grounder
Holding a and down is a fastball
Holding left or right for either pitch throws a curve ball
