Kenny the hypocrite
Kenny came from a Christian home
They went to church five times a week
Sunday School, then youth group
Then helping people on the street
Kenny often fibs and lies
But all his friends don’t seem to care
He often talks behind people’s backs
And sometime you’ll even hear him swear
Kenny is a hypocrite,
He says he’s saved but that’s just it
He sings the songs and raises his hands
He talks in tongues, there’s a fish on his van
But he leads life clearly in sin
He lies and robs and cheats to win
Oh dear Kenny what will you do?
Repent your sins and let it be true
He claims a Christian status
The life he lives says otherwise
I think someone should talk to him
I think I’ll be a real surprise
He’s been saved since he was four
But by the time he was 17 well, by then everyone knew
That Kenny’s faith was more than shaky
That Kenny’s faith was so not true
Kenny is a hypocrite,
he says he’s saved but that’s just it
He sings the songs and raises his hands
He talks in tongues, there’s a fish on his van
But he leads life clearly in sin
He lies and robs and cheats to win
Oh dear Kenny what wil you do?
Repent your sins and let it be true
Kenny tries to be cool and stuff
He just doesn’t know when it’s enough
But he’s still there at youth group every Friday
You’ll see him near the from pew
Tears streaming down, he’s crying boo hoo
Then he’s out the door to get a smoke
And tell someone a dirty joke
