Silent pride

America was still,
Airports closed,
Sports events canceled.
Normal,
Everyday lives were
Shattered.
Why?
This country wants answers.
What are we searching for?
What answers can we get?
America stands in 
Silent pride,
Uncertain of the nation's last move.
Even though a hush has engulfed the country,
The only things that still move
Are the red,
White,
And blue flags 
That blow in the wind.
We the people are united,
But we are waiting,
Waiting for the next move.
America is still.
