In this common Christian state

And this failure is now stained with red

They all think they know what you're all about
But they don't have a clue
Let them search all they want
But they'll never find you

No matter how many times you pray
And trust in God to see you through
Someone will go down wounded and broken
And that someone is you

So welcome to the faith
This spiraling descent into the grave
You'll forever carry the "love" and "joy"
That comes with being saved
