choking hold 

around her throat 

trying hard
 
it won't let go

heart pounding

fear mounting 

tears falling 

spirit calling 

courage weaning 
cat fleeing

floor quaking 

door shaking 

hands trembling 

scars remembering 

muscles tense

still no rest 

sudden light 

full of fright 

anger flies

from his eyes
