Dustin's Seventh Christmas in Heaven
I have written a poem for you for Christmas day
There are so many things I would like to say
For seven long years you have been gone
So many long days and weeks without a song
Of Christmas time and holiday cheer
Oh, how I miss you my dear
The seasons come and seasons go
I wish it was without the woe
It's been so long since I heard you say
Merry Christmas Mom and bless this day
I think now of Chrtistmas with a sigh
As this seventh year passes by
Thinking of you as memories flood my heart and mind
So son if you could only give me a sign
That you are doing o.k. high above
In the arms of God and his sweet love
With the hope of Christmas I'll try to keep
The promise of a tear I shall not weep
For things that might have been and are to be
I'll have a peaceful Christmas this you'll see
Knowing someday I will abide
With you and angels by our side
That day will come and all will see
What a happy day that it will be
So til that day the good Lord calls
I send you love and peaceful doves
