“Epic DreamFuture”
Chapter One: The Big Surprise
When I got home from school, I told my mom that I got an A on my science report. I went up to my room and put my report on my front desk and thought about everything that happened. I also wrote everything down on paper.
The next day when I woke up, I turned on my television set. I went to the news and started to watch it for awhile. Nothing exciting was on, so I turned it off. I laid my head on my pillow and said loudly, “Today's the last day of school!” I got up, ate breakfast, and went to school.
At school, everyone was taking pictures and signing yearbooks. The teachers were packing all their stuff in boxes. The school day went fast.
When I got home, my dad was sitting in the living room with my mom talking. When I walked in, my mom told me that we were going to move. “Wow! That's awesome. Where are we going?” I exclaimed.
“We are all going to Towanda, Pennsylvania, because your dad got a job at the Bradford County Airport and it's in Towanda. We are going to leave tomorrow at 2:30PM.” My mom told me. “Pack all your stuff in boxes when you get upstairs. Theirs already boxes for you.” My mom told me.
I went upstairs and grabbed some boxes that were in the hallway and brought them to my room. I went to my closet and started putting my items in the box. I did that all night.
“Ring.” “Ring.”
I woke up and turned my alarm clock off. “It's 2:00PM.” I said to myself. I got dressed and took my boxes downstairs. The U-Haul truck was already in the driveway. It was half-full. I put my boxes in the truck. When I was finished, it was 2:37PM. My mom, dad, and I went into the truck and drove to Towanda.
It took us five hours to get there. We were moving into a blue house on Center Street. We all got out of the truck and went into the house to look around. They told me that my room was upstairs and take a right and then a left.
I went up to my room and looked around in it. It had a window and the entrance to the attic on the ceiling. It was an ok room to live in. I had no problems. The room already had a bed, a closet, and a big desk that has six compartments to store stuff in. I went downstairs and got my boxes. I brung the boxes up to my room and took everything out of it and put the items somewhere in my room. At 10:38PM, I was really tired, so I went to bed.
Chapter 2: Bradford County Airport
Ten years later on August 25, it was my birthday. I was twenty-four years old. My dad died four months before my birthday. So I applied for his job at the Bradford County Airport. Today I got the job.
When I got to the airport today, I asked the manager where I go to check the baggage. The manager took me into a big building and there was a small room. “Just watch that screen. When you see something that's not supposed to be on an airplane, press that red button. That's the only time you press that button. You can sit there and theres the phone on your right.” the manager told me. He walked out of the room. It was 5:45AM and the airport didn't open until 7:00AM. I found a video game in one of the cabinets and was playing it. The airport opened in no time and I was ready to work.
When I first started to work there it was boring. Then I got used to it after awhile. It's not so boring anymore.
The next morning I awoken by a big thud. I remember my dream so clearly. I dreamed about my future. It was so weird.
I went to the kitchen and ate some cereal and milk. It was really good.
“Ring. Ring-a-ling. Ring.”
I picked up the phone. “Hello?” “Hi. This is the Memorial Hospital. I'm sorry to tell you this, but your mom just passed away. Their going to have the funeral in two days at 1:30PM.” A young nurse told me. “Ok.” I told her while hanging up the phone.
I went to the living room and turned on my television. I went to the news. “The new and latest technology. A computer that runs on water and air. The never-ending watch battery.” the television announcer said.
I didn't see anything awesome, so I turned off the tv. I only watch the news. Anything else is just boring. I had nothing to do, so I went for a cruise in my new car.
I went to the Arnot Mall in Elmira. I went up the elevator to the Arcade. I wanted to play some racing games and maybe some pinball.
“Hey. Is that you Tim?” said a strange man. “Yes it is. Who are you?” I answered. “I'm your co-manager at the Bradford County Airport. My name is Jim Michaels. Do you remember me? I was in your science class with Mrs. Speare. I was the smartest kid in the class.” Jim told me.
“Oh. I remember. Hows it going? My job is ok. At least I'm getting money.” I told Jim. “Sorry to hear about your mom and dad.” Jim said to me. “It's ok. Well, I got to go. I just remember something. I'll see you later.” I told Jim while walking out of the Mall.
Chapter 3: Fireworks Carnival
As I was walking out of the mall, I quickly got two-hundred dollars out of the bank. I got in my car and went to Waverly. I got there in thirty minutes.
It was 8:30PM when I got to the fair grounds. I parked my car in the grass and went to the carnival. I got five dollars worth of tickets. The first ride I went on was the ferris wheel. It was really high. After that ride I saw my brother.
“Hey Dan! How's it going?” I screamed over the crowd. “Hey. I haven't seen you in awhile. Hows your life going?” Dan asked me. “I'm fine. I have a job at the Bradford County Airport. I have my own house on Center Street in Towanda and my own car. Unfortunately, our mom and dad passed away.” I responded to my brother.
“Do you know when the fireworks are going to start?” Dan asked me. “I think around 11:00PM. It's supposed to be a really good show. I think it's the best in the state. I can't wait.” I told my brother, Dan. “Ok, thanks. I'll see you later.” My brother was telling me while walking away.
The next thing I did was ride on the roller coaster. It was awesome because it was really dark outside. When I got off the roller coaster, it was 10:52PM. I knew the fireworks were going to start, so I went somewhere to watch them.
At 11:05PM, I found a perfect spot to watch the fireworks. I sat there for eight minutes. Then I heard a boom! Crack! KA-BOOM! The sky lit up with color.
The fireworks kept coming and coming. It got louder and louder and brighter and brighter. It laster for twenty-two minutes. The grand-finale laster for five minutes. It was awesome. “I will never forget this day.” I told myself.
Chapter 4: The Dream
After the fireworks, I went home and went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night around 4:00AM. I don't know why I woke up.
I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't so I stayed up the rest of the night. I had a very weird dream. i didn't know why I had it. It was about some guy that wanted to build a time machine.
I went to my computer and researched on dreams. I couldn't find anything important on how you dream and why you dream what you dream. So I stopped looking. He went and checked his e-mail. He had twenty-five letters from an unknown address. He read two of them. It said, “Would you like to see the future. Having dreams?” I was getting scared.
I kept thinking about the letters over and over.
I got really mad and I wanted to change my name and leave town. I went to my judge yesterday and asked him to change my name to Steve. He said yeah.
I didn't move, but I was paranoid all the time. I didn't know what was going to happen.
I went to sleep at 8:30PM because I was really tired.
When I awoke next morning at 10:30AM, I heard the door bell ring. I went downstairs and was about to open the door, when BOOM! The door hit me right in the face. I blacked out. I heard someone say, “I knew it. Why didn't you know that.” That was all I heard before I totally blacked out.
