                           ~In A Fantasy World Of My Own~

In a Fantasy World of my own, where a storm brews fiercly. Lightning flashes like bolts of energy seeking out the perfect object to test its strength of destruction. Thunder rolling in the distance sounding like our God stomping on the floor of heaven in dismay over what he observes down here on this earth. Rain pouring, flooding as if the world was to be once again swallowed by a great flood. People running to keep the storm from soaking them to their inner depths of their soul.

Then it happens, I see you there waiting for me in the rain. Standing under and eave of a book store buzzing with people. Waiting, hoping that I come to you.

As you pace the little snipet of sidewalk that remains dry under the cover of the eave, you search; searching for me hoping that I will not leave you hanging like a lone apple hangs from a tree.

From across the distant way, I watch; silently in the warm, dry comfort of a cafe. Watching you, seeing your anxiousness as you wait for my arrival.  Wondering if what I am seeing is real or if I am just dreaming and when I wake, I'll be here again, alone in my bed.

Sitting here in my daydream state, a waitress breaks the trance that my eyes have on you asking me if i want another cup of coffee. Hurriedly, I run her off not wanting to miss one single moment of watching you. I look for you, suddenly you are not there; no sight of you where you once stood under the eaves. Frantically I search for you. My eyes scouring the sidewalk that you once graced with your pressence. Nothing, you are nowhere to be seen. Lonliness fills my heart. Sadness overtakes my body. If only I had of went to you  while you waited for me in the cold rain. If only i had not have been so stubborn. If only I had given you one more chance. If.....

A hand touches my shoulder. I turn toward the person touching me in total aggravation to tell this person to just go away. I was busy, busy searching for my one true love. I turn and look up... its you......
