The Board is a group of people dedicated to seeing that the club runs smoothly. They are the administrators and paper pushers of the club. Each seat has different duties that need to be done in addition to voting on matters that needs Board attention. Being on the Board has very, very few perks. Members of the Board still need to meet regs, and follow all rules.

Persona Approval is not a seat; rather, all Board members decide whether or not to approve each sheet. This way, no persona sheet is approved with a small error, or something is overlooked. The Board takes between 3 days to a week to discuss each sheet. Yes, this may be longer than in other clubs, where you can get approved in 5 minutes - but it also prevents the possibility of needing to change the sheet later on.

Dusk Forest also has a Council that helps out with the In Character administrative duties, such as working out plotlines, or approving statuses in a persona. This council is made up of the club's "high rankers" - goldriders, wingleaders, Master Crafters, Lord and Lady Holders, etc.

Club Founder and Owner
Communications and Listkeeper
Jen is in charge of acting as liasion between club members and the board. As such, it is her duty to announce contests and roll calls, as well as sending out any warnings from the entire Board (breaking canon, etc, not rank warnings). In addition to being the "Mouth" of the Board, the Communications person also keeps track of lists for the club - member lists as well as persona, dragon, and pet lists. Online availability is a must, as well as the ability to work well with other people. It is important for this person to be diplomatic and respectful, as well as the ability to use proper grammar and spelling.

Webbie/Timeliner/Rank Tracker
The htmler is responsible for seeing that the club's webpage is kept current. New personas and information is added in a timely manner. It is their job to see that the webpage continues to be an excellent resource for the club members. In addition to maintaining the website it is the duty of this person to provide the funds that keep the website running - approximately ten dollars (or more!) a month.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Board

When serving on the Board, a member should be professional at all times. Private matters and disputes should be kept just that - private. If a Board member does not get along very well with another member, it is the Board member's duty to continue to act professionally and fairly. Likewise, friendships should not be put above the Board - a Board member should be capable of giving a warning (such as for not meeting rank requirements) to even their best friend. Friendships should not determine whether a person gets a rank, either.

Board members should try to be fair in all cases, and should keep the club in mind during all decisions.
