Physical Description: S'yun stands at five feet seven, having just finished what is probably his last growth spurt. He has brown eyes and brown hair of about the same color. His face is oval shaped and normally covered with acne. He's not skinny or fat, but not really muscular either. Somewhere in the middle of all three, with what could probably be labelled an average build.

Personality: S'yun is quiet and the Pernese equivilant of a philosopher. His "what if" outlook on life scares away most potential friends, although he can be a good person to be with if you can get him away from his neverending questions and ideas.

He's pretty solid; not much can faze S'yun. He meets each obstacle head on, with an open mind. Weyrling training has actually improved him immensely, by giving him much needed mental and physical discipline and control.

Background: Born at Fort Weyr to a long line of dragonriders, it was pretty much predestined that Serayun would Impress. Honor and duty was drilled in him from a young age until it became second nature. He took to reading and writing like a fish in water, and spent most of his time in the records room helping to copy old records. This, more than anything else, caused him to always ask "why" and "what if," which drove his family and friends crazy.

His thirst for knowledge impressed the Weyr's harpers, and he was apprenticed to the archivist when he reached the age of twelve. This was also the time he began standing as a Candidate for each clutch, although he wasn't found acceptable to any of the dragonets until the time he was fifteen, when he Impressed blue Merseth.

This was the same time that the Weyrleaders of Dusk Forest came to them, asking for transfers, and S'yun and his clutchmates were sent with them to be trained.

Dragon Description: Like his rider, Merseth is pretty nondescript and doesn't stand out much from his clutchmates. He is just the right size for a blue, and has often proved himself to be a superb and agile flyer. He is a quick thinker, often able to solve problems without help from S'yun. Merseth is enthusiastic and usually must be told firmly that practice is over for the day.

Merseth has a better than average memory span and will often surprise his rider and everyone else nearby by recalling something another dragon would have forgotten.
