Persona Name: Ceyla
Gender: Female
Sexual preference: Heterosexual
Persona Age: 14
Birthing date: M6, D14
Birthplace: the original Dusk Forest
Occupation and Rank: Green Weyrling
Persona Location: Dusk Forest WeyrHold
Owned By: Jen
Physical Description: Ceyla has all the makings of being a beauty when she
finishes growing. For now though, she's in that awkward teenage stage where
she's all sharp bones and angles, much to her dismay. It's not necessarily so
bad though - her dark blonde hair is long and curls loosely when its down, a
definite distraction from the pre-pubescent figure. Her blue eyes are a pale
color, which can be somewhat startling in comparison to her skin color.
Unlike many blondes, Ceyla's skin will burn badly when
she first goes out into the sun, but after burning a few times, will tan nicely.
Not darkly, but her skin is a pale golden color. She tends to flatter herself
with complementary colors, although now that she's a weyrling, her dressier
clothes have been abandoned for more serviceable items - ones that the various
chores associated with her dragonet won't ruin.
Personality: Very much a typical teenage girl, other than her
green, much of Ceyla's attention goes towards the young men around her. The fact
that she's the only one from her small group of friends that hasn't hit puberty
yet is the absolute worst thing that could have happened to her, in her opinion.
Little does she know, obviously.
Thankfully for her, although she is young and naive,
Ceyla didn't inherit the talkativeness associated with most greenriders - or
fourteen year olds! She has a small group of close friends, many of them in her
weyrling class, but doesn't stray too far from them. It has struck her, since
she isn't stupid, that the boys seem to like this more than the open flirtations
of some of the other girls.
Background:
Born at the first Dusk Forest, Ceyla, her dragonriding parents,
and sometimes foster mother were among the refugees who escaped to Dawn Meadows
Weyrhold.
She had lived a quiet childhood up until that point, filled with
the pranks, laughter and mischief that most children find themselves in at one
point or another. Her parents, although they were long-time weyrmates, didn't
always have the time to look after her, so she spent a lot of time with one of
Dusk Forest's foster mothers, a middle-aged woman by the name of Baylie. While
it was never an official fostering, the Headwoman knew about the arrangement and
saw no problems, as long as Ceyla wasn't being mistreated or neglected at any
point.
After the earthquake and the move to Dawn Meadows though, Ceyla
was on her own more than usual - Baylie had been seriously injured and was still
under the Healer's care, and her parents were trying to find a place of their
own amongst the riders at their new home.
She'd never had much interest in crafting, but she was considering
her choices in that direction when her parents reminded her that once she turned
thirteen, she'd be eligible to stand as a Candidate. Unlike most children
brought up in the weyr, Ceyla wasn't so thrilled about the idea, but agreed to
it as a temporary thing - if she didn't Impress before she turned 14, she'd
Apprentice.
Her parents agreed, although at a weyrhold, it wasn't unheard of
for older teens to apprentice to a craft.
She Impressed a green, Illaribyth, a few months before that
birthingday. The pair had just graduated into Sr. Weyrlinghood when J'syn and
Sierrata returned to Dusk Forest to announce that they had found a new home for
them all. Along with her parents, and again, Baylie, they moved to the new Dusk
Forest, looking for a place they could be happy in.

Dragon Name: Illaribyth
Age: Dragonet
Riders age at Impression: 13
Color: Green
Dragon Description: Illaribyth, although Ceyla calls her Lari most of the time, is
going to be one of the larger greens at the Weyrhold. She's well-proportioned
despite that, with an eye catching color: a deep, even jade. Unlike most
dragons, who have variations of their color at different points on their hides,
Lari's stays even over her entire body, other than a slight darkening on her
face.
Being a dragonet, her personality is even more changeable than
most. She's playful, and curious about absolutely everything. It remains to be
seen whether she'll stay that way, or settle down as she matures.
