Physical Description: Many people have said that Ai'dan is too pretty for his own good, and there may be a great deal of evidence to support this notion. His mother was a known beauty, and it seems he inherited much of his appearance from her side of the family.

With short black hair, fair skin and oceanic blue eyes, Ai'dan has a rather striking look. His eyes in particular, with their thick lashes and intense, almost hypnotic appeal, stand out as his most noticable and attractive feature. He stands at 5'10", with a slim, elegant build. While not a muscular person, he does have a tightly accentuated physique. Ai'dan has three tattoos: a small dragon shape on the back of his neck, a twisting design that crawls down the length of his right forearm and onto the back of his hand, and a similar design around his navel. Remarkably, he is so far free of threadscore.

Preferred clothing is always attractive and of the highest quality. Everything is tailored to fit his exact shape with soft fabrics and deep colors. Black, burgundy, forest green, dark blue and deep purple are favored, while muted pastels and warm shades are particularly disliked.

Ai'dan is extremely attractive, and he's only too aware of it. He has a very graceful, elegant quality to him, but it's suffused with a masculine sexuality and a confident awareness of exactly who he is and what he is capable of.

Personality: Ai'dan at times appears to be one of those people who burns the candle at both ends. Even for a teenager he lives a dangerously extreme lifestyle. Prone to diving head first into dangerous and self-destructive situations, he can appear fearless, but that would be far from the truth. The distinction is that Ai'dan's fear is not directed towards the outside world. To him, no pain or risk on the physical plane can compare to the dark places he hides within himself.

While brave, intelligent and extremely capable while fighting thread, it is in his off time that he can get into trouble. Ai'dan is an extremely sensual person, and he is not above using his good looks and ample amounts of charisma to his advantage. Alright, lets face it, he's a slut. But for him, it's more about escapism than pleasure. Despite being heterosexual, he doesn't seem to have any qualms about accepting the advances of other men. After all, more often than not to him it's the act that is the desired goal... not the person.

This is not to say that he does not also have his quiet, peaceful moments. At times he'd take solitude and the cold mountain air to a night on the dance floor in a heart beat. Being a person who very much keeps his thoughts and emotions to himself, sometimes the one thing he needs the most is to just get away and be alone for awhile. That's the thing about Ai'dan, he's impossible to know. Just when people think they have him figured, he surprises them.

All at once charming and magnetic, moody and dark, Ai'dan's the type of guy who, as they say "is great for an affair, but not someone you'd take home to mom."

Background: Ai'dan (Aiodan) was the second child of the Lord and Lady Holder of Telgar. When he was ten years old, his mother died of illness. His father, kept busy with the duties of running a hold, had no time to care for Aiodan and his siblings. He barely even saw them. And so a nursemaid was appointed in their mother's place. The woman by all accounts seemed to be a caring and responsible foster mother, which makes it all the more mysterious as to why Aiodan hated her so intensely. His older brother and younger sisters were all quite fond of the woman, but then they were never subjected to the abuse that Aiodan recieved, and for his part, the boy never spoke of his pain to anyone. His father, of course, was much too busy to notice that anything might be wrong with his son.

When Aiodan was fourteen, his foster mother also died, having been beaten to death by her equally abusive husband. He was safe from her from that point forward, but the damage had already been done.

By the time Aiodan was sixteen, he had developed a reputation as a wild child, and his father, who never really knew his son and could not find a way to curb his rebellious behavior, was at his wits end. When a searchrider from the weyr suggested that he take Aiodan back with him to stand as a weyrling candidate, the Lord Holder was only too happy to be rid of him.

Aiodan got along better at the weyr, where customs allowed for a somewhat more relaxed atmosphere, and when the clutch hatched, much to the surprise of a number of people, he impressed a bronze. In training, Ai'dan was focused and determined. He worked hard and, aside from his tendancy towards daredevil behavior, was considered a good student and a capable rider. In his off time, however, he caused a bit of a stir, particularly among the other male dragonriders, whom he never got along with very well to begin with.

Still, he managed to last two years at Telgar before anything serious occurred. Then he made the mistake of sleeping with the weyrwoman. Needless to say, rumors spread, and the weyrleader found out and was extremely upset. Thus, Ai'dan was to be transferred to Dusk Forest.

Dragon Description: Aizirith is small for a bronze, but extremely agile. His body is well proportioned and graceful, with a gleaming hide of deep russet bronze that nearly rivals the golden queens.

Aizirith lives to fly. Soaring through the atmosphere, diving, ducking and swirling in the air, his flights can almost look like dancing. His nimble grace and quick pecision in the air make him an excellent thread-fighter, although he does have a few small threadscores on the tips of his wings. Nobody's perfect, after all.

Sensitive and moody, Aizirith can be both extremely caring and downright irritable. Even more empathetic than most dragons, his emotions are very much dependent upon his rider. Most of the time, however, he is gentle and thoughtful, and has been a very stabilizing force in Ai'dan's chaotic life.
