Physical Description:A'kir is a tall- about 6'2- youth with a slim, wiry build, intense grey-green eyes and unruly auburn hair, which grows so fast its length is usually a bit longer than the dragonrider norm. He has long-fingered hands, which are covered in a light tracery of scars. His skin is lightly bronzed from spending time out in the sun. Born with one leg slightly shorter than the other, he always limps when he walks. He wears loose, comfortable clothing in muted colors and doesn't care much about his appearence.

Personality: Quiet and self-contained, he prefers to be solitary and is generally a loner, although he doesn't intentionally keep people away. He just feels very awkward around them. He doesn't really understand other people either, which often causes misunderstandings, but he has an uncanny knack for knowing how other people are feeling. He is almost always whittling away at a piece of wood, and enjoys making furniture. He also likes reading and is very interested in history, sometimes vanishing amongst scrolls for candlemarks at a time. An adept swimmer, he spends a lot of time cavorting in water with his dragon, enjoying the freeness of movement the water gives him.

Background: Born in a small hold, A'kir's mother had been a minor weaver and his father, a vinter. He was fostered to a woodcrafter, and would sit for a long time watching her at work, and soon picked up the craft himself. He was taunted by the other children at the Hold about his disability, so he avoided them, spending all his time learning woodcraft, reading in the Hold libraries, or swimming. He was quite astonished, to say the least, when he was as Searched at age 16. He did not fully believe it to not be a mistake until he Impressed a small blue dragonet who proclaimed himself Tasukith. He Impressed at another Weyr, then transferred.

Dragon Description: As outgoing as his rider is introverted, Tasukith enjoys being with other dragons, loves showing off, is very proud, and tries to create mischeif as much as he can. Tasukith's socialness keeps A'kir from being completely anti-social. He encourages his rider to try and make friendships and tries to help him understand his fellow riders more- which does end in disaster as often as not. Small and dainty, with an average wingspan, Tasukith is very swift and aerobatic in the air. A very dark blue, with a paler belly and water-patterned wing membranes, he also has rings of a paler blue around his eyes, his ankles, and the base of his tail. Although they look slightly odd,Tasukith is quite proud of them, much to A'kir's quiet amusement.
