Physical Description: Uwan towers at 6'3 and is of medium build. He has all the right muscles in the right places. His brown hair is kept choppy, as though it were chewed by a canine. He has olive eyes with gold flecks. He sports dimples in both cheeks and a terrible tanline around his waist from working shirtless. His hands are permanently dyed a reddish hue.

Uwan is usually found in long pants, despite the weather, and sometimes wears a copper beaded string around his right bicep. He has a matching anklet on his left foot. His favorite colors for clothing are earth tones - brown, green and tan.

Personality: Uwan is a cheery chap. He enjoys a good conversation with others, unless he is working, which he prefers to do in concentrating silence. Count on him to get a party started, matchmake and charm the ladies. It might surprise some people that Uwan takes an occasional man to bed but he enjoys the reaction enough.

Uwan's not much of a fighter and it takes a while for his temper to get hot but if someone else starts it, he'll gladly tangle with his opponent, as speed is on his side. While he enjoys being the center of attention, Uwan likes to see others step into the limelight once in a while.

Background: Uwan would rather not remember his past. He was born of two homophobic holders at Fort Hold and when he became old enough to realize his minor sexual deviation, quickly learned to keep it under tight wraps. His father was a demanding sort and Uwan and his little brother rarely misbehaved.

Uwan was apprenticed into the tannercraft while at Fort but his brother, turns later, became a dragonrider. Though he knew dragonriders were more open-minded, riding was not his calling but Uwan took the opportunity to transfer to Fort Weyr when he became a journeyman at nineteen.

Enter the Dusk Forest riders, who enthralled twenty-four turn-old Uwan with their cause. Seeking to distanced himself from his family, in case they heard rumors of his abberant lifestyle, Uwan hopped onboard.
