Physical Description: Slender, and of middling height, Tsali stands just about 5'6 and weighs in at just under 130 pounds, although her carriage makes her appear taller than she is. Mind you, the boots she wears almost constantly contribute to that too. She prefers tunic and trews in earth tones, insisting that the weyr's tailors cut them specially to fit her more feminine form. Every now and then though she'll appear in skirts, or even better, a gown when it's time to let her hair down and have some fun at a Gather.

Not very well-endowed in the chest department, she more than makes up for it with her rear, which elicits catcalls from men quite often. Her olive-toned skin is dark enough that she never burns, only turning a deeper honey tone after being in the sun for too long. It does go well with her hair though, which is an indeterminate blending of black and brown curls.

Her features defy categorization as well. Although her bone structure is delicate, her brown eyes are huge and heavy lidded, giving her an 'I-just-tumbled-out-of-bed' appearance that many around the weyr find quite an attractive trait. Her lips also are large and full, only adding to the speculation of exactly what she was _doing_ in that bed.

Personality: Oftentimes Tsali finds herself cast into the role of a seductress because of her earthy appearance, but that assumption couldn't be further from the truth. Oh sure, she enjoys male company, and definitely isn't looking forward to celibacy if she Impresses a dragonet, but she prefers quieter, less physical pastimes. A borderline introvert, she finds herself craving solitude after having to spend her evenings in the candidate barracks, although she knows as a rider that quiet time will be hard to come by with a dragon in her head constantly.

She puts on the act of being a pretty tough cookie, but in reality Tsali's far from it. She'll never admit to either, but she's not only a closet romantic, but is also scared witless of what she terms the 'Three S's': snakes, spiders and storms. She hides these well but they sometimes get the best of her - usually at inopportune moments.

The other quirk of Tsali's personality is her tendency toward moodiness, although this has improved over the turns as she developed talents of her own. Often depressed as a child, nowadays all Tsali has to do is remember her accomplishments in harper training, and her new status as a Candidate to cheer herself. Even though it doesn't always make her _happy_, precisely, it does allow her to stop wallowing, and get on with whatever it is that she needs to be doing.

Background: Born at a small cothold on the far outside of Dawn Meadows Weyrhold's territory, Tsali spent her formative years running wild over her father's lands, although she was never quite as outgoing as her brothers and sister. As she grew older her need for peace and quiet led her to her uncle, a harper who taught her the basics of his craft and encouraging her talent in music.

Once at Harper Hall, Tsali became one of the top students there. Her dual aptitude in music and scribing made her a joy to her teachers, and invaluable to her friends - she was always willing to answer a question instead of having to hunt down one of the journeyfolk. She was preparing a final composition before she would be eligible to walk the tables to junior journeywoman when the Searchdragon came to the Hall.

It didn't take her long to realize that Dawn Meadows was not the place for her, and requested a transfer. When it was denied on the grounds that Dawn Meadows did not have enough Candidates for their next clutch, Tsali was tempted to take off on her own. X'arik, the Searchrider who'd found her at the Hall quietly invited her along with them to the newly reopened Dusk Forest, in the hopes that the girl would fit in better there.
