Physical Description: Standing at what he considers a good height, a good height being a clean 6. Hes tall for his age and its clear he was built to work, with broad shoulders and well-fleshed out limbs, no one could ever call him a weakling. He inherited most of his looks from his father, and is the only one in his family to do so.

After spending hours in front of forges and blazing fire, Morads skin has been tanned to a light bronze, covering his otherwise fair skin. His hair matches his complexion and is a light brown at the tips, darkening to a deeper brown at the roots. He keeps it cut short, but stopping short of cutting it all off, he cant do a thing about keeping his front bits falling in his eyes at the most unusual times.

A jagged dark brown scar cuts perfectly along his right cheekbone, a constant reminder of his willingness to defend his younger sister, but it does nothing to stop his over-all good appearance. Light harper-blue eyes are his second most attractive feature, and they convey his emotions through them readily. His eyes are deep-set and fit in with his strong defined jaw-line and mouth. While his nose is rather plain and unnoticeable, his mouth is defiantly his best feature. Hidden behind his plain lips lies an astounding collection of white pearls which when once shown, generally have a great effect on a member of the opposite sex.

His stomach is flat and when toned after years of hard work and his belly button is ringed by two bronze fire lizards, which are touching snout-to-snout and tail-to-tail. His hands are of medium size and posses a dexterity not known to many smithcrafters. This trait comes in useful when hes working on smaller items such as buckles, bracelets and other such things.

Personality: Known to most as a rather handsome and friendly face, Morad generally gets along with everyone and entice even the timid to open up to him. He likes to get to know people and doesnt care for gossip at all, and dislikes hearing rumours. He often takes the initiative when spotting someone, and doesnt mind walking up to a complete stranger and starting up a conversation with them.

Hes not a flirt, but he doesnt always give off the lets just be friends signal either. When he becomes interested in someone, he, like most other men, will show off a bit - not over-so, just enough to show hes interested. Hes a bit of a romantic and believes that one cant be in love only in dragon lust. Hes not the most outgoing person, and will back off if someone else shows interest in the girl he likes to the annoyance and dismay of some.

Because of his up-bringing, Morad has certain values which he always finds time to uphold. The most important of which is his protectiveness of his sister, Katheen, whom he will defend at all costs. He will step in whenever he sees her in, what could be, trouble and sometimes unintentionally suppresses her wants in order to protect her from what he thinks will hurt her. Ever since she was born hes always been there for her and generally knows whats going to harm, (or try to), her both emotionally and physically. He doesnt like other males who flirt or hang around with his sister, and he scares most of them off anyway.

Its only Katheen and other young women thatll hell be protective of, and maybe a young boy who needs some guidance but apart from that theres rarely a need for him to become angry. When he does get ticked off, you can bet your bottom mark its because someone was insulting, hurting or belittling a female. And if push comes to shove then he wont mind fighting at all.

Aside from that, hes still charming, polite and friendly to almost everyone.

Background: Morad was the first-born son in a family of 5, much to the joy of his Cotholding parents. His two older sisters were twins, 10 turns his senior and very closely-bonded. That didnt stop them from welcoming their new brother with open arms and there werent any fore-see able problems until Morad just reached 3.

At that time, a small but deadly disease had been floating about for some time and though it wasnt immediately contagious and reasonably easy to get rid of, his mother(Katheen) in her gravid state easily succumbed to it. The signs werent noticeable until a few weeks before her due date, Katheen started to quickly become out of breath and had a dark red rash across her back and arms, needing to sleep more and more.

Distraught when he realised his wifes condition, Moflar hired a midwife/nanny to help around the house, care for the children and generally do all the chores that the now-sick Katheen couldnt manage. For the first two days, the absence of work seemed to brighten Katheens face and her children were happy and played near her whenever they could the next week she was back to her near-immobile state.

When she finally went into labour, she managed to deliver, what would surely be her last, a healthy if a little thin, baby girl. After seeing her new-born babe, Katheen once again brightened and managed to fight her illness for another few days, before finally leaving the face of Pern forever.

Moflar named the new girl after his late beloved, Katheen, and explained to his other children what had happened. For a few months, it was all Morad could do to stop crying for his mother too young to realise that shed never come back. The twins saw the baby Katheen as a miniature form of their mother, and convinced Morad this to stop him crying something which he still subconsciously believes to this day.

From that moment on, Morad always kept a close watch on his sister and took it into his mind that hed protect her from everything, to stop his mother from leaving him again.

When he was apprenticed into smithcrafting, Katheen came too, and proved her worth in the craft. Much to Morads pleasure thered never been a time when he couldnt be around to protect her, even when, barely into his 18th turn the two were searched and brought to Dusk Forest Weyrhold.
