The
JAFT may be considered the most active Judo club professionally run by
7th Dan Sensei and Mahaguru Mr. Goh Thong Mong and his son, David. The
senior Sensei Goh has indeed devoted his whole life in the promotion of
Judo, and runs many Judo clubs in schools, as well as the YMCA Judo club
(Kuala Lumpur). Continuing in the tradition of his father, son David has
help to set up the JAFT Judo Academy. Judo teams, both seniors and juniors
from JAFT, have often emerged as champions in the annual National Judo
Contest.

The
SJC is Malaysia first and premier Judo club, founded on October 25th 1951.
From the SJC emerged the many Judokas who helped to start Judo clubs in
other areas of the country. The founder of SJC, Kpt. (retired) Khor Ghoon
Hoe, was also one of the original founders of the Judo movement in Malaysia.
Sadly, Mr. Khor, an 8th Dan Black Belt holder, the highest Judo ranking
in the country at the time of his demise, passed away on October 1999,
having dedicated his whole life to Judo. His legacy is the many practicing
Judokas of today and Mr. Khor certainly merits being known as the "Father
of Judo" in Malaysia.

by the SJC (Selangor Judo Club) whose many Black Belt instructors are on
hand to provide the necessary expertise to take a beginner or an advance
student through the various aspects of Judo training. Judo training days
and time are Fridays (8.00 pm ¡V 9.30 pm) and Sundays (10.30 am ¡V
1.00 pm). The Dojo area is air-conditioned and male and female changing
rooms are available. For a separate fee, there is also a fully equipped
