High Above Bishkek, Kyrghystan 1995
These guys were my partners in a joint venture in Kyrghystan, C.I.S. (Confederated Independent State of Russia) We were setting up a telecommunications company there. I stayed at Victors house in Bishkek and we all had a great time. I wish that my Russian was a little better as I really had trouble communicating but we had fun anyway. I remember coming in on Oerophlat to Bishkek at Midnight. There wasn't a single street light...it was eerie. We ended up meeting with the President and several ministers from Kyrghystan. Afterward there was plenty of wine and vodka...these guys could drink. I remember going to bed in this really big palace and having this really weird feeling. I had nightmares that night about being drug out and hung which was really weird only to find out that people were held at the palace the night before their execution...spooky! All in all the trip was really cool and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to travel to such a different place.
