I met Shawn a few years back while visiting home. He was playing in some cover band and wasn't too happy about it as he is definitely an artist in his own right. Since I've been back I've seen him play country as well as rock & I realized how talented this guy is. He's a great songwriter, a good guitar player, has a really good ear, can sing exceptionally well and to top it all off, he's a really nice guy. He's been working very hard on getting his material together for a big push in Nashville. I feel sure that if anyone from Meridian has a chance to make it in Nashville, he's the one. Shawn and I have written together (High Cost of Low Livin'), but in my humble opinion not enough. I hope there are big things in store for him in the future and maybe we'll have a chance to work together.
