I met James when I moved back to Meridian in 2001. Although he had been to Nashville a bunch of times, we hadn't really run into each other. James is one of the best guitar players I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. He nailed all of his parts on this record in less than two takes and in some instances on the first pass. His playing really brings a good hard-edged country rock sound to the songs he plays on and I'm proud to have him on this record. He is very good songwriter in his own right and not a bad mandolin player as well. He has played with a number of different bands and had his own solo project which had one CD release. He is currently working out of Memphis and touring with a new act from Nashville.
