Jack Williams
Captain Jack

I met Jack before I went to law school when he dated my sister.  I blew into Jackson with my leather jacket on and blowing attitude but he was great.  He asked me questions about my music that I couldn't even answer.  For someone who doesn't really play music, he knows as much about it as anyone I know.  A veteran of the Austin, TX music scene (he went to UT undergrad), he knew a ton about songs, songwriting, musical styles, etc.  I moved to Texas & he went to Ole Miss Law School and he and my sister broke up. However we stayed in touch (obviously an amicable break-up or my sister would have gone postal) and when I went to law school we became really good friends.  He has shared tons of great music, books, movies, etc with me and really was a big influence in my writing whether he realized it or not.  Sometimes in life we are blessed to meet people that have so much to offer us in our journey that you know that you'll carry them with you and Jack was one of those people.  I truly miss spending time with him as we have had some really good laughs.  Especially the night of the obscene clone fall joke that took over 30 minutes to tell.  I thought I was going to die I laughed so hard.  I trust he will be happy to be included in this special thanks and I hope he understands what a great friend he has been through the years.  ---  Jack don't forget to laugh!  (I'm sure that he'll hate this pictures as much as I hate my own, but this pic speaks volumes!)
