Frank Lacy

Check out that Synthesizer
Frank and I met in 1977 or so. He came over to the house with Kevin Ivey so that we could ponder getting in a band together. He brought over a polyphonic synthesizer that he had built himself. Not bad considering that he was only 15. We later formed the band "Forever" and we began to figure out where we were going to fit into the music business. When we moved to Oxford, MS, we continued to work together in my recording studio which was located right off the square. We learned a whole lot about recording in those years as we spent countless hours recording, getting guitar sounds, etc. We recorded many songs including "Left Wondering" which was my first video. Frank is proficient in many aspects of electrical engineering and programming. He has developed stomp boxes for the likes of Santana, Billy Gibbons and many others. He worked a great deal with Terry Manning of Ardent Studios in Memphis where I cut my first EP in the same room where Led Zeppelin did their third album. He recently helped with Lenny Kravitz's studio in Miami. He is currently designed tube technology such as compression and equalization, and mic pre's. I learned a whole lot working with him and truly owe a great deal of gratitude. He currently lives and works in Oxford, MS.
