DAVID'S REPTILE PAGE
Anyone who knows my husband Dave, knows that he is never without a few reptiles. There is not enough room on this page to post pictures of all his reptiles, but enough room for a few.  Collecting reptiles is Dave's favorite hobby.

In 1996, Dave successfully hatched 18 White Throat monitors (Varanus albigularis).  He maintained records of this hatching which were incorporated into a study by Jeff Lemm, Research Assistant, Center for Reproduction of Endangered Species, San Diego Zoo, San Diego, California.  In February, 1998 Jeff's article
The Natural History and Captive Husbandry of the White-Throated Monitor was published in Reptile Magazine.

Teaching begins early in our household
Dino (a Varanus Salvatore) as a hatchling.  I remember when our power went off one winter night, and Dino had to sleep with Dave & me to keep warm. This lizard had the free roam of our home and was very tame.
Taming (?!) a wild-caught Varanus Salvatore
Almost forgot to show the babies! Varanus Albigularis. Boy, was Dave ever proud of these!
Okay, so Rocky isn't a reptile, but isn't he cute when he sleeps?
I have a lot more pictures to scan and post, so I'll be back later! How about some pictures of some of the non-reptile animals we've had over the years?  hmmmm  May need another entire webpage for that.
