| You can help light the way to a cure for cancer and honor loved ones who have battled this disease. During the American Cancer Society Relay For Life Event, a beautiful and touching Luminary Ceremony takes place. Candles are placed in luminary bags and line the track on which we are walking. They are lit the Friday night of the event to honor those fighting cancer or in rememberance of those who have lost their battle with cancer. The candles burn throughout the night, serving as a reminder of the purpose of Relay For Life.
