| Be a Relay WINNER with these great fundraising ideas |
| * Auction off a half day of work... with the boss' permission of course. * Auction off a prime parking space at work. * Provide a baby-sitter service. * Car pool for a donation. * Allow employees to pay to dress down at work. * Have a craft fair and sell your homemade treasures. * Collect recipes from team members and publish a cook book to sell. * Offer an errand running service. * Have a team garage sale... get rid of old junk and raise money! * Have a jail at your campsite... for a donation, team members can be arrested. For another donation they can be set free. * Write a letter to all family and friends explaining the event and ask for donations. * Sell luminaries. * Rent short videos and have a movie week during lunch hour or show movie during Relay and charge admission. * Prepare a pancake breakfast at Relay. * Find a local business to designate a percentage of one day's sales to go to Relay. Let the public know so they can support you and the business. * Walk dogs for donations. * Publicize you team's participation in the company newsletter... and ask for donations. * Take candid shots during Relay and sell them. * Have team members bring in old videos and have a video-sale. * Create and sell yard signs that say "Our community is Fighting Cancer!" * Set up a wishing well, like the kind for cards at weddings... put at work or at Relay campsite and ask for donations. * Raffles! Raffles! and more Raffles! * Silent Auction! * "The Taste of Relay!" Local restaurants donate a sampling of one or two of their most popular dishes. Participants pay $5 to enter and taste each sample. A team could take on the organization and serving at the event. * Trash the Ash! Get a old cigarette vending machine and take donations to take a slug at it with a sledgehammer. |
