EXTRA: Virch on Angle v. Cena (Andy)
(Attached to: Second Week, Part I, Chapter #6)
- Main event, WWE Title: Kurt Angle v. John Cena.  Cena's pre-match rap is an indictment of the Blues' lack of playoff success, which is so true it's not even funny.  Cena backs Angle into the corner and gets in a cheap shot.  After a whip reversal, Cena gets a spear on Angle.  Elbowdrop and they work the headlock for a while.  Angle gets a one-count before they stand up.  Angle shoves Cena into the corner and gets a release German suplex.  This time, Angle backs Cena in, so Cena thanks him with a tackle and Enemy Pummel.  Kurt stops it with an armbar and tries for the Angle Lock, but Cena sends him to the outside and... follows with a tope?  Well, points for effort, anyhow.  Back in, Cena stomps away on Angle and tries to pick him up, kicking off a pinfall reversal sequence that ends when Angle bridges out of a pinfall attempt and gets a neckbreaker.  Nice.  Angle with CLUBBERIN', HE BE CLUBBERIN', TONY, and an overhead suplex off a corner whip.  Cena goes low and gets a MAIN EVENT SPINEBUSTER for two.  Powerslam and Cena goes up (?!), but Angle rolls through the crossbody for two.  Tazz tries to write it off as Cena mixing things up on Angle.  Back to the drawing board, John.  Cena clotheslines Angle and stomps away, then pulls him to the top rope and hits a super fallaway slam (which apparently he's been experimenting with on house shows) for two.  Angle rolls him up for two.  Cena heads outside, and Angle follows, only to get beaten on.  Angle recovers and tosses Cena to the steps, but Cena stops short and indicates how smart he is.  Angle slams his head into the STEEL post, lowering Cena's observed IQ a few notches.  Back in, and Angle goes up to miss the moonsault, so Cena goes up to get caught in the Pop-Up Superplex.  Angle goes for the Angle Slam, but Cena gets out of it and bumps the ref.  Release German and beltshot from Cena set up the F-U, but Brock Lesnar enters the ring and cuts out Cena's legs for the Double KO.  Angle is up first, and that's bad for Cena because it's Angle Lock time.  Cena taps out at 13:19 as Brock watches on.  Interesting idea here to keep the SummerSlam match alive, but Cena's attempt to be a high-flyer didn't quite work out.  **3/4 Cena stares a hole in Lesnar as we go off the air.
