Jerry's Prayer
God I know that you'll hear my concern in this prayer,
that you'll watch him and keep him encased in your care.
As he enters the track with great tension and force,
with his mind so intrigued to steer the dirt course.
When he goes on the green with full power and thrust,
and starts the first race with all courage and trust.
Whether trophy or feature he wants to prevail,
sliding and turning so not to fail.
His sport is intense and filled with alarm,
dangerously speeding and hoping no harm.
To most he's just deemed a fatcory stock racer,
but this one's more special than any speed pacer.
Encompass him tightly with your loving arms,
to bring him in safely without any harm.
Oh mighty God, whom is savior of all,
that one special racer is named Jerry Paul.
