My birthplace is Canada, but home is where my family lives.

We're back in Indonesia.
To be precise we're in Surabaya, on the island of Java.
I'm working to get our teacher-training center open.
We were in Changsha. The capital of China's Hunan Province.
We were in Jinzhou, Liaoning province.
We had been in Ilsan, South Korea for six months.
Ilsan is about one hour outside of Seoul.

Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia. The sprawling, and sometimes sweltering capital of East Java.

It is a mix of the frantic and the fresh;the exciting and the exasperating; the cherished and the soon-to-be-choked. My relationship with this sprawling,chaotic city often mirrors my more intimate relationship with family.
