Cartoon Network Booboo?

Last night, Sunday to be exact, I was watching the Adult Swim, as I always do, but something very strange happened.  Cowboy Bebop returned, even though I had heard that it wasn't suposed to come back until October 4th, but there it was.  I was really happy--even though I own all the episodes ^_^.  The first aired episode of last night was "Ballad of Fallen Angels," episode number 5.  Well, the next episode, "Sympathy for the Devil" did not air.  Now, I'm wondering why it didn't.  Cartoon Network stated that all 26 episodes would be aired.  I was a little upset because this episode explains why hardly anyone's living on the Earth.  So did they skip it because of the gate explosion, or was it an accident?  I'm holding judgement until Thursday.  I really hope that it was just an accident, but something tells me that it was done on purpose because of the content.  So why did they start airing them earlier than what they had stated before, if they weren't ready to air all of them?  I just don't understand them sometimes.  Oh well, I'll write a follow-up after Thursday on this matter.

Follow-Up

I have just read that I was correct when I assumed that they were not airing episode 6 because of the psychotic child in the story.  Also they will not be airing episode 8 because of Spike thwarting hijakers on a space plane.  Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this show supposed to be for adults, and we should be able to handle that--right?  I guess Cartoon Network thinks that we can't handle a psychotic child.  I can understand removing the other episode--temporarily--but not forever!  That part in the show is actually funny, why, because it's NOT SERIOUS!  I thought that we had learned how to tell the difference between fiction and reality.  The hijakers don't even get very far, in fact it's more like a robbery than anything else.  I'm not being insensitive, but this was kind of silly I think.  Oh well, if they want to be that way, and treat the people who are tuning into Adult Swim as if they were they same age as the children viewers, then so be it.  I'm just going to be tiffed at them for a while--oh, wait I could always watch my tapes.  I say everyone who likes this show, go and BUY IT!!!  It's much better hearing Spike use his favorite word, "shit," and not seeing bathing suits on the girls in the dirty magazines--those must be some desperate guys if they're just looking at the swim-suit editions.  Either that or those guys couldn't afford the true dirty mags.
