Another person who would know me for who I am,
and accept me the way God created me.
But all I would find was cruelty and rejection,
From those I thought deserved to be admired.
I now understand that my disappointment was self-inflicted
For placing my admiration on people who cared only about looks and material things,
Because the day I met you,
I found a person who truly deserved my respect, my trust and definitely my love.
I snuck a peek into your heart,
And there, I found a kindness,
A love that swept me up inside of it,
And I knew from that moment,
That I would always tey my best to make you as happy,
As the tenderness I feel dwelling your soul has made me.
