Blind Target --->Target 1-2 Review Story by: Akemi Omode Special: Originally broadcast in Japan as a Radio Drama under the same name Summary: Taking off in the year between the salvation of earth by the gundams from a meteor and that of the Marie Maia rebellion, Blind Target is basically the filler of what could have happened. The gundams are still completely intact, but their use has been reduced to nothing. Everyone is off, doing the things they should have been before the war of A.C 195 even happened. Quatre is in politics, Duo is a handy delivery man, Trowa is in the circus, and Wufei is training hard at a dojo. The only one who seems out of place is Heero- living his life just as it come along. But suddenly each of the pilots starts to get contacted by people that are asking about the gundams. An assasination attempt on Quatre is what makes all of them realize that this is more than a collection group. My Thoughts: Wow. The art is surprising very close to that of the original. Relena actually looks semi-normal to me. Either way, it looks very close to the real deal considering it's duojinshi. Story-wise, it's nothing less than what you'd expect of a Gundam Wing story. It makes sure to keep the characters IN character, which can usually be a major problem. Granted there was an explosion that put Quatre in danger, I'm not to disappointed in it. There is also an introduction to a couple new characters. Bottom Line: In the end, it's a 4.5 out of 5. A pretty good buy for the art and story. I mean, heck, I'd buy the actual radio drama CDs if I could- but, for not understanding japanese, this actually is pretty good. |
