History of the HB Torana
The HB Torana Arrived in May 1967.  Powered by a 1200cc engine, it stuggled to beat buses and semi trailers off at the lights.  The best thing to do with a standard HB engine is to attach a chain to it, drop it into the water and fasten a mooring buoy to the other end of the chain.  Then you stuff a big engine into the car. We have seen 454 cubic inches of Chev V8 in the front of HB Torana's (or rather, half in and bulging halfway out).

All early HB's are two door sedans, but the release of the HB II in September 1968 a four door was also offered.  If you are considering a serious repower, two door bodies are stronger than four door.
