| According to his daughter, Carolyn, William was the older brother of my mother, Patsy Ruth Dunn. My mother often said that she had a brother out there somewhere. She believed it, but, couldn't prove it. I don't know if she heard something about him when she was a child or later in her life. She had mentioned that she heard about a brother, no name or other information about him was known by her. William J. Dunn was the son of Oscar James Dunn and Edith Pearl Daugherty, married on 1/3/1925. My grandfather went by James Oscar Dunn. Williams daughter sent a copy of a marriage license for Oscar James Dunn and Edith Pearl Daugherty. Oscar James Dunns' parents were listed as Rebecca (Noel) Dunn and John Dunn. Those are the parents of my grandfather. This picture of William, sent to me by his daughter, closely resembles my, our, grandfather James Oscar Dunn. Carolyn found my website after both her father and my mother had passed away. I have no reason not to believe this information. I wish they could have met. |
