John Dunne graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Arizona State University (United States) in May 1991. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State, which he received in December 1987. He was inducted into the Sigma Iota Epsilon national honorary and professional management fraternity in the spring of 1991.
For most of his adult life, John lived and worked in the Phoenix, Arizona area. John has worked for a number of companies, both as an employee and as an independent consultant, in accounting and financial analysis. He has served on the management teams of four companies, one of which was a non-profit organization that John started.
John is also actively involved in various writing projects. He has had a number of business articles published in several magazines in the United States, and has written and edited several major business reports on a freelance basis.
For the past five years, John has lived in Asia. John spent one year teaching conversational English at Pagoda Academy in Busan, South Korea, where he developed a popular Business English program. He moved to Singapore in October 2002.
John has taught at several schools in Singapore. He is currently a teacher at Insworld School, where he teaches A and O Level Accounting and O Level Economics. Prior to Insworld, he lectured at EASB Institute of Management on a part-time basis, teaching Introduction to Management. Other lecturing positions include AIT Academy (January 2005 - September 2005, when the school closed) and Raffles Academy (January 2003 - December 2004). Courses taught at AIT Academy were at the BBA, MBA and Executive MBA (EMBA) levels for the European University (EU) and University of Southern Queensland (USQ) programs. Classes taught include:
