RESTAURANTS:
Brandon has everything from pizza and Chinese take-out to wonderful high-end restaurants. Middlebury also offers numerous choices from diners to gourmet and to suit a wide range of tastes including Indian, Chinese, and Mexican. Kampersville Deli & Ice Cream Parlor at the northern end of the lake is the closest place for eat-in or take-out pizza, sandwiches, creemees, and hand-scooped ice cream. Thursday night is their popular Spaghetti Night and their Sunday breakfasts are also well-attended. See the Chambers of Commerce and official Vermont State sites below for more information about restaurant choices, or check the Vermont magazines and newspapers for recommendations.
MOVIE THEATRES: Middlebury's Marquis Theatre shows two movies. Larger theatres are in Rutland, West Rutland, and the greater Burlington area. Their showtimes are available in the newspapers. The Sunset Drive-in Movie Theatre is still in operation in Colchester, just north of Burlington, and has four double features every night.
