SERVICES
OFFERED
SECURITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
This service covers the
planning, program and policy development, formulation review or revision,
publication and deployment which are preceded by a security survey.
It involves the evaluation
of the effectiveness and the cost and benefit
evaluation of the security systems that support the programs for Personnel
Security, Operations Security or Supply Chain Security (under certain set-ups),
Information Security, and Physical security, Service or Product Security, and
Environment Security. It covers security
systems and procedures for the prevention of, reaction to
and investigation of
risk occurrence, taking into
account security due diligence and industry best practices.
The service also includes the
alignment of the existing contracted security services of the client company
with the new security program initiatives and interventions through a Guard
Force Management System Manual, culminating with a security personnel training.
The main deliverable is a
comprehensive security program that is integrated and synergistic as a system
in which all measures, whether procedural or physical, would logically and
strategically contribute to the reasonable and cost effective protection of
your people, assets, reputation and value.
Working with the management
team, the organizational readiness to adopt a comprehensive security program
shall also be ascertained, taking into account the deployment of organizational
development and change management initiatives.
RISK, VULNERABILITY AND SECURITY ASSESSMENTS FOR
CORPORATIONS OF ANY SETTING
This service covers the
identification of all types of risks that threaten your company or facility,
the assessment of the likelihood to occur and their impact on the business or
the facility if they occur. The facilities include banks, offices, condominium,
hotels, manufacturing plants, malls, hospitals, retailers and refineries among
others.
More often than not,
complacency sets in a prolonged period of normalcy and poor compliance gets
unnoticed. A third party security assessment is an effective compliance
evaluation and audit against self-satisfaction. An outsider looking in will
always have an added value for organizations that have a passion for continuous
improvement.
Beyond risk identification,
security assessment shall increase awareness and appreciation of security by
the company stakeholders. It can establish a baseline of where the company
stand and plan where it should be, thereby eliciting involvement and support of
related functional departments, mitigate security-related liabilities, and
eventually reduce security-related expenditures while maintaining or even
increasing levels of protection.
EMPLOYEE SECURITY AWARENESS
DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR
This is a four-hour orientation
program for the employees for them to recognize the security needs of the
company, the risks that threaten the company, the various means by which security is addressed and their
individual and collective role in the security of the company. It also includes
some practical tips in securing their work areas, and avoiding risks in
different areas.
A good security awareness
program builds upon and complements existing
strengths and processes including safety and environmental awareness and
training, policies and procedures, hotlines, employee communications (including
intranets), new employee and contractor orientations, identification and access
control systems, emergency training and drills, etc. It is designed to motivate
employee involvement and participation in security participation. In other
words, awareness transforms your employees as your additional security “eyes
and ears”.
A good security awareness
program is a positive process that builds upon the employee's existing
ethical base and sense of fair play. It is a concrete follow-through program
for work attitude and values formation workshop. The program may also tie
personal and family safety and security advice (e.g. at home, in the car, while
traveling) to further relate personal protection with business/organization
protection.
The program might be tied to
contests and awards in which aware employees are recognized and rewarded to
boost communication and enforcement.
CORPORATE
SECURITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES
In
this age and time, a Corporate Security Office ceases to be a typical support
unit doing menial task. The challenge is to mobilize one that has a strategic
relevance to the company’s business goals, support the corporate vision,
mission and values, and perform activities that will ensure business continuity
following security-related attack or catastrophic event. This service can very
well deliver the foregoing results to businesses and organizations.
As
security professionals, we abide by the maxim in management that “we cannot
control something that we cannot measure”. Thus, in managing the security
office we ensure that Service Performance Indicators are set in every aspect of
the job to attain not just cost-efficiency but also excellence in delivering
security and protective programs and services.
For
progressive work environment, Service and Quality Metrics or improvement goals
are set to ensure commitment to continuous improvement. Client expectations
would include improved return on
investment in a security program, a value for money investment in security and
savings in terms of cost, time, effort and stress in managing a security
office.
Inasmuch as the service
performance measures are directly related to the contracted security services (security
agency), standards in screening, hiring, training, supervision, pay and
benefits, motivation, and management responsiveness shall be developed.
Subsequently, security
exercises and penetration tests shall be deployed to identify gaps in program implementation.
Done periodically, the gap between the assumed outcome and the assured outcome
is then bridged by continual readiness and preparedness focus.
As companies focus its
competence and direct its resources on its core business, support functions and
services are normally outsourced. Similarly, acquiring and building up skills
and competencies in security management may not be aligned with corporate
strategic thrusts. This reality makes outsourcing of the corporate security
office as a viable option.
The
service could be availed through different programs depending on the business’
needs, expectations and capability.
Corporate Security Office Outsourcing
The service involves the
outsourcing of the Security Office. We shall provide a Security Manager/Officer
and the immediate staff requirements while the contract security personnel will
still be under the security agency contracted by the client-company. The
Corporate Security Office will be at the helm in the planning, program and
policy development, formulation, review or revision, publication and deployment
of the client-company’s security program. Specific tasks and programs include
activities in physical security, operations security, information security,
personnel security, supply chain security, whenever required, and the
development of a Guard Force Management System Manual.
Virtual Security Manager
A number of businesses and
organizations may not have an experience security professional under its employ,
yet face the same risks, threats and vulnerabilities present in the present
environment. The constraint could be budgetary or simply not having a full-time
Security Manager. The Virtual Security
Manager is specifically designed for such a situation.
The service allows clients to
enjoy the most critical components of an effective Security Management Program
and its deliverables for an affordable and preset monthly fee. The client is
guaranteed at least eight hours visit in a month. This makes budgeting easier and the
undertaking cost effective than having a security manager under the clients’
employ.
Specific services in the
Virtual Security Manager include:

Security Counsel
Some business organizations opt
for multitasking of corporate services functions. More often than not, security
is handled by key officers in human resources, administration, safety,
engineering and plant operations, where majority of the incumbents have yet to
acquire and develop the necessary skills and competence in security management.
The Security Counsel Service
intends to equip non-security professionals tasked to oversee the security
function with the basic skills and competence required to effectively manage
the security office. Interventions like professional coaching, on-the-job
training, third party surveys and case studies are also deployed.
Security Executive Coach
Experienced and reliable security
resource for internal management meetings, particularly on issues related to
corporate fraud investigation, contingency preparedness and planning against
industrial disputes, economic sabotage, pilferage and other business
abnormalities.
