| If Erzsebet Bathory holds the record for being the female serial killer with the most victims then Timur Lenk holds the record when it comes to males. Timur Lenk born in 1362, a descendent of Genghis Khan, was the leader of what is now modern day Turkestan in Russia, however he was a poor leader when it came to politics, he believed in military tactics only and quite gruesome ones at that, not only did he not take care of his own land, but those he conquered he slaughtered, he amassed an empire of blood and nothing more. At first he fought nomads, but later he would wage war with Persia for seven years. In 1383 in the City of Sabwazar he had 2000 prisoners built into a living mound. In that same year in Zirih he had 5000 captives beheaded and had their heads made into a pyramid. In Luri he had all his prisoners hurled over a cliff. In Delhi he massacred 100,000 prisoners, and then when he in invaded what is now modern day Turkey in the City of Shivas he had 4000 christians buried alive, he died in 1405 around 50 years later his empire collapsed, this was basically due to his lack of political knowledge so he left a trail of ruin behind after his death. Even though he was not the best caretaker of his people and didn't set a good foothold for an empire what he did during his lifetime makes him infamous as the single most sadistic man that we know in our history, whether he was a haemophiliac or merely a sadist we will never know. | ||||||
