"The Killer Clown"
Later in 1971 after modeling himself into a seemingly respectful and admirable citizen he was taken off of parole status. Two months later he would commit his first murder and for the next six years he would continue to rape, torture and kill young boys and men.
Gacy's crimes were purely to please his sexual urges, he would feign to be a plain clothed policeman luring young boys back to his home where he would then handcuff them and rape and torture them for hours before he finally did his "rope trick" where he would strangle them and they reached their last breath, he would reach his sexual climax.
Over the years nobody suspected Gacy, he was well respected in the community had a respectable construction position, was active politicaly, and entertained the children as Pogo the Clown on occasion.
However in December 1978 his luck would run out. The local police found out about Gacy's conviction in Iowa and searched his house, there they found in a crawlspace 29 bodies several more would be found in a river.
Gacy tried to use the insanity plea in court stating that an alter - ego named jack was the one responsible for the crimes this did not stand and he was sentenced to death by the electric chair and is still on death row. It was more than likely the right decision to judge Gacy sane, however when he was eleven years old a swing had struck him on the back of the head causing a severe blood clot. There are several cases where the serial killer suffered some sort of brain trauma, this would not have made him psychotic but would definately have affected some of the regulatory systems in the brain which control hormones e.t.c
