Ship's History |
On May 24th, 1980, DUNCAN (FFG-10) became a commissioned ship in the United States Navy. The commissioning ceremony included all members of the pre-commissioning crew, U.S. Representative Mike Lowry as principal speaker, and featured Rear Admiral William A. Williams III, Commandant Thirteenth Naval District, as Commissioning Officer. CDR Ross D. Barker became our first Commanding Officer. DUNCAN (FFG-10) served continuously until December 17, 1994, when she was transferred to the Turkish Navy. |
