| Welcome to Duna Sky Rattery! | ||||||||
| I'm not so great at building websites, but a friend and fellow breeder thought having at least a page up would let people know more about me and my rats. About the rattery... My name is Madison, and I run DNSR - Duna Sky Rattery. I've been breeding and raising pet rats for three years.. My rats are extremely friendly, healthy, well socialized and all around great family pets. I have adopters tell me all the time how much they love my rats. <3 I do keep pedigree and health information on all rats that go through my rattery. One of these days, I will get my information over to the NARR to register everyone. Until then, I do offer pedigrees for all of the rats bred here that go to adopters. So...about my rats and breeding... I am careful with my breedings - I only breed healthy, even tempered rats that are at least 6 months old. My males and females are kept in separate cages on different floors of my home, and I've never ever had an accidental litter. I clean all of my cages weekly, and for the ones who are litter trained their litter is cleaned every day. They are fed a mix of human grade grains and pastas, and I also give them fresh fruits and vegetables every other day. Cages and such... I mostly use Martin's cages, though I do have one large Superpet ferret cage for older males and a few smaller modified cages that can house females and litters. They are all powder or PVC coated cages, and I do have one that had to be covered with PVC coated hardware cloth to keep rats in. These cages are all pretty well used, but in really good shape and always kept clean. Rats... I have recently cut my numbers way back. I will be adding more rats to my lines soon. I apologize for not having any pictures available of my rats. I promise one of these days I'll figure out how to do that, but until then I will list their information below. |
